Contribute — be a 21st Century Patron!

Do you enjoy Mozart? Palestrina? Beethoven? The world would never have heard Mozart’s The Abduction at the Seraglio were it not for Emperor Joseph II, who commissioned the work. Palestrina’s Pope Marcellus Mass is a testament not only to the composer’s genius, but also to the patronage he enjoyed from the Vatican. Beethoven dedicated the Missa Solemnis to his benefactor the Archduke Rudolph, and 20th century composers such as Bernstein and Copland flourished with Koussevitzky’s patronage.

Patrons, you are amazing! Only $7,000 more completely funds the ASQ-SFCA new music collaboration!

Throughout history, the generosity of patrons of the arts — kings, popes, emperors, conductors, and visionary fans like you — has made it possible for composers and performers to bring us music that enriches our lives. Today, the generosity of patrons like you continues to play a vital role.

Luckily, however, you don’t have to be an archduke, a pope, a conductor, or a Holy Roman Emperor (or even spend thousands of ducats) in order to be a patron and bring new music for the ages to the world. You can bring new music to life by making a donation of any size, or by contributing as a Volunteer, or by helping with a Gift in Kind or a Bequest for the future.
