Back by popular demand, internationally renowned Klezmer trio Veretski Pass joins SFCA for a journey into Jewish superstitions.

Guided by musicians past and present, enter the worlds of visions and wonder, spells and amulets. Beautiful traditional melodies are woven into a contemporary kaleidoscopic array of songs, dances, and dirges by dazzling improvisations.

Featuring 7 world premieres by Bay Area composers Josh Horowitz and Tina Harrington, and Composers-in and Not-in-Residence Mark Winges and Eleanor Aversa; contemporary works by Paul Ben-Haim, Alice Parker, Randall Thompson, and Sylke Zimpel; and earlier works by Aldrich, Mendelssohn, Rossi, and others.
