Presenting a wide range of traditional carol texts set to new music. Works written for the occasion, by composers from the diversity of America, will be interwoven with some of our audiences’ favorite traditional American works.

We will explore the rich heritage of choral music inspired by the Psalms. Works by Allison, Bach, Brahms, Goudimel, Harlap, Ives, L’Estocart, Mendelssohn, Pinkham, Poulenc, Purcell, Schumann, Singer, Sweelinck, Tarlow, Vivanco, and others.
An exploration of madrigals from the Renaissance through the 20th century in which old works will be paired with modern ones on the same text or tune, or which complement or respond to earlier works. Featuring compositions solicited from composers for the occasion and works by Arcadelt, Byrd, Burnham, Gibbons, Luzzaschi, Monteverdi, Morley, Peterson, Stern, Tomkins, Zaimont, and others.
