What do nightingales, wretched lovers, and spinach in one’s teeth have in common?  All will be part of our season finale! Sacred and profane, old and new, we offer music for the spiritual enhancement and entertainment of both royalty and regular folk.

Our program features Baroque and 20th/21st century composers famous and anonymous including Bach, Handel, Kogler, Hensel, Mendelssohn, Clara & Robert Schumann, Daniel Afonso, Alice Parker, Schütz, and world premieres by Composer-in-Residence Jean Ahn and Composer-Not-in-Residence Robinson McClellan.

As part of our annually recurring SFCA+1 program, we’re joined by internationally known harpsichordist Jillon Stoppels Dupree and cellist Paul Hale. Together and separately we’re able to offer Baroque and contemporary pieces that are rarely heard, juxtaposed to highlight both their similarities and differences.
