The rain has finally stopped and the sun has come out! The Choral Artists explore nature’s moodswings: weather, natural landscapes, the seasons, and time.

A pair of musical “weather reports” by Henry Mollicone, SFCA 2006 composer-in-residence, and Wayne Eastwood, are featured, together with additional premieres, The Seasons of Mankind, by Jerry Mueller;. And All the Sea Sang for choir and horn by Robert Ward; and The Lower Leaves of Trees by our 2006 New Voices contest winner, Matt Van Brink.

Also on the program are favorites and rarely heard gems such as Stanford The Bluebird, Pizzetti Cade la sera, Hawley Io son la primavera, MacDowell Slumber Song, and works by Elgar, Hensel, Holst, Kodály, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Thompson, Renaissance composers Lassus and Marenzio, and others.
